Hi,

I'm having a related, but slightly different issue with sound modes.

Unlike some, I want to be able to silence the alarms too. It used to be that in 'vibrate' mode, the alarms would be silent (no tones) but would still vibrate. I cannot achieve this anymore.

I have tried setting the 'interruptions' sttings to 'do not interrupt' but the alarm tones still sound. I understand (but disagree) that alarms are always considered as priority interruptions, but if you choose not to be interrupted, they should not sound. If you want to be reminded by priority interruptions, surely you would choose 'allow only priority interruptions.'

The point of having a true "Silent' mode is that you can switch this on when you go into a meeting or the cinema and not have to worry about switching off 17 different apps / settings to make sure your phone doesn't make a noise.

Surely there must be some way of setting a "vibrate only" mode where ALL tones (including alarms) are silenced, but notifications still vibrate, and a truely "Silent" mode where ALL notifications (including alarms) are silenced and do not vibrate. This has been a basic feature of mobile phones since the 1990s! Surely a little embarrasing that arguably the most advanced mobile platform no longer supports this?

If anyone knows how to set these modes with only a small number of 'taps' I'd be grateful if you can tell me how. Even the silent mode widgets don't work anymore, unless anyone has found one? (Don't want to root though).

Hi, Is there any way to change to Silent, Priority, or Sound other than the upper/lower volume keys ? Since Lollipop, I can't change it while playing music. I do not like apps that do that because they don't use the default profiles and add new ones instead. I wish sony would developp a widget or add this function in the walkman app.

The very very big "glitch" in lollipop to sony xperia is "you can silent the phone even protected by a pattern or password lock"

The big problem is "for example, your phone is inside your tight jeans packet, then power button touch something inside your pocket, then the volume button touch something inside your pocket then the volume lower down, and you don't notice at all that your phone is in silent mode accidentally".

This is a very very big glitch and dummeb no brain programming, if for example you leave your phone on top of your desk and somebody make silent or turn off the volume even you put password or pattern etc in your phone, and you didn't notice at all that is in silent, how do you feel? Specially if you're waiting some calls.

Me, my phone is xperia z1 compact, and i always put inside my jeans pocket and always that the volume lowered or silent when i checked it.

I never miss a call from my Boss before, before i updated to lollipop (Android 5)

Please fix this it's very urgent, and it's also a security flaws to the phone. TY

I hope you add the sound icone in active quick setting again we need it.

I wish you add a blocking mode for callers with the reject list please .

The last one if u could modify the motion options ..where you split them each one alone .. Its more much useful like that.

The charge of battery lost 10% without using the phone and the mobile data was not active (last update of software)
