Signal Drops on Xperia U?

I am experiencing signal drops with my Xperia U. It happens more so during travelling. As a result, I have to re-boot my phone at least 3-4 times a day.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

I got my handset xperia U from sony service center fourth time. I gave and complain for problem, in previous posts mentioned all the history.

on 23rd july I handover mobile to ssc and on 1st august I got back with reply we checked and make sure that this time there is no problem of network disconnection now.

came back to home and just wanted to make a call, and what the ** it is having no service . no signal bars and a small red cross again as usual before.

restarted the phone got back to network as was urgent to make a call now what the ** . other party can't hear me. after several call tries used to check service test menu and primary micro phone not working.

on 26 may 2012 i purchased and in warrenty but do not mean that I keep visiting for claim the whole warrenty period. in this time about 25 days mobile is at service center.

I paid for new mobile, got a faulty one and repaired 4 times visiting 8 times service center result 0.

now not going to service center for repair untill sony replies here.

if there is no serious reply by sony here within a reasonalbe time that what should I do to make all definate, then will go to sony center but not for repair or warrenty claim. just to give them mobile to keep it free from me and as a help to sony without demanding my money back so may be this could help them to make.things.better.

All the best.

Hope the problem gets fixed soon. I've exchanged my Xperia U for a samsung product, but still i am very keen to know wether the problem has been solved by Sony or still they are clueless. this wll surely influence my future purchases.

Regards.

Hi All,

Finally sony has released an update version 6.0.B.3.184 and i have updated it yesterday. It seems they have fixed this biggest "NETWORK DROP ISSUE" and from yesterday i din't face any such problems after updating to this new build version. Its working fine. Because i used to face network drop issue as soon as i turn on "data over network" option (just 5 mins after enabling), i checked it from yesterday and i am not facing this problem as such after updating. It a big relief. Sony should realize how this kind of problems might effect their business. I have read in forums that Sony will be releasing an ICS update in early august after this build. Still this issue needs to be checked as its just one day after update. If i find this issue again then definitely i would go for an exchange.

I dont really have issues with signal drops but in less than 2 months (when i bought the phone) i got twice "NO SIM CARD". Out of nowhere, phone stopped detecting my SIM. Restart does not work, i must turn it off, remove sim card, insert sim card, power on. Running 6.0.B.1.576.

Anyone experiencing this ?
