Signal Drops on Xperia U?

I am experiencing signal drops with my Xperia U. It happens more so during travelling. As a result, I have to re-boot my phone at least 3-4 times a day.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

i am running with same problem,i register a lot of complain by mail and phone,also visited service center two time but return back without any solution.

poor sound quality speaker and ear also a major problem

I have the same problem and it's driving me crazy.

waiting for the update but it still doesn't come.

What a fool I was to buy this phone....

before this phone I had the xperia aspen.

so can anyone plzz tell me when the problem is solved????

cause it's my second sony phone that fails

Check out if this solution works for your guys cos it did for me

Install the application Juice Defender from google play (purchasing the ultimate version will give you all the additional features, which really are awesome and is a good idea (especially due to the battery drain Android phones are known for).

Open it and set each item as per your requirement.

Some options should be done as follows:

In Controls

Ensure Autosync mode is on Ping 

Keep Enabled mode should not be selected

In Schedules

Enable periodic connectivity

In Triggers

Enable Screen option and Traffic option

What this does is as soon as the screen goes off, it disables wifi/data connectivity (though sync option will continue to check your mails periodically) and then there is no signal drop.  When you put the screen on, it will connect to wifi/data as per their availibility.

I'm Facing the same problem, I'm in Ecuador and the problem is not the Phone service provider, it's the phone. I hope Sony takes care about the this issue soon.

but my problem is also that if I restart my phone, the signal still doesn't work!!! is that a general problem? or it's just my phone's problem?!!

Hey I am also frustated with this issue.

Also not able to hear any incoming rings/calls, The quality of sound is very poor

I have purchased sony xperia u one month back, i updated the firmware (6.0.B.3.162) using the sony PC companion tool and facing the same network drop issue, i need to reboot this cell atleast 6-7 times a day. Really very much disappointed with this problem. When are they going to fix this issue and and when are they going to release new build. Also after this update , mobile reboots automatically when i connect it to PC. Please this build have lots of problems..please fix this issue as soon as possible..without a network mobile phone is useless.
