Hi

I bought an Xperia J today, but when I try to charge the battery, the phone just shuts down and I can't get a connection with PC Companion (2.1).

When I disconnect, I can reboot but still no connection when I try again.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to do a repair of the phone software?

Click on this link to get Sony PC companion:

Start PC companion, start "Support Zone", start "Update phone software" and click on "Repair".

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know if you are still having this issue after the repair of the phone software.

Problem solved. I found a small piece of plastic on the contact points of the battery. After I removed it, the phone charged just fine.
