Should I update to ICS?

I have an Xperia Arc S. It has a low internal storage so I am wondering if I should upgrade. Will it eat up alot of my internal storage. I have only 60mb left. Slightly_frowning_Face

You just have too many apps installed. Root phone and uninstall unused apps.

I upgraded a long time ago, so i don't remember how much space it took. The best thing I ever did was get root access to the phone though.

The update itself does not use a lot of storage.

I was update my Xperia Arc from GB to ICS two months back. Actually, it improves the speed and increase free size of my storage and I don't know how it was done. My free space before update was 80 MB but it has been increased to 110 MB. Hence, update to ICS is better than working in GB. But, the only drawback is ICS has many bugs, i.e., lag, reboots, etc. Even my device hanged a while and reboots 20 times a day approximately. I am waiting for the next update (firmware 4.1.B.1.13) to solve this problem. Hence it's your choice to update or not? Before update read all the topics related ICS update in this blog. It's true. I feel that the speed is better than GB. But the only problem is it hanged sometime which leads to restart. Otherwise, when compare to GB, ICS provides good speed for my Xperia Arc.

I have read all the post i could find and i still dont know. Should i Upgrade to ICS or not? I still have GB and have no problems with my xperia arc s, Still it would be nice to have ICS. Is it worth to update? I dont want game laggs or random restarts.

This is more than enough reason NOT to upgrade to ICS.

Believe me, I'm using periodically both of them, and ICS is HUGE step back regarding performance. It looks fancier, it's richer with options, but it's terribly slow.

Sometimes it becomes almost unresponsive when you load it with few task at the same time. And gaming, heh... What gaming. You can forget about any serious gaming.
