Setting wallpaper in album

So I love my Z Ultra (I am yet to name it though) and playing around with it has been awesome.

However recently when I go into the album app there's been a recurring issue. When I open up the options menu and choose "Use as" to set a wallpaper on any images NOT taken by the camera it says "no applications can perform this action".

Has anyone else had this issue? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a fix or an update for this?

Try going through this route:

Settings> Personalisation> Wallpaper > And choose the image you would like to set as a wallpaper from Album, Live Wallpapers and Xperia Wallpapers

The other route is: 

Long press the Home Screen and then a panel appears at the bottom with options Wiidgets, Apps, Wallpapers and Themes. 

You could set the Wallpaper from there as well

If you are still having issues, try repairing it through Sony PC Companion or Sony Update Service.
