Dear Sir/Madam,
I want to set ring tone for a particular contact from myMusic(not the mobile ring tones). Please let me know the procedure for same.
I selected that particular contact - edit contact and ring tone but I am getting the mobile ring tones not the gallery one. Please let me know how to do it
You can set your own ringtone by scrolling to the bottom of the list of default ringtones and chose music library.

on the top RIGHT corner you should see a music icon tap on it and voila you will see your music library

Hi.. I am asking how to set the ringtone for a particular contact not all contacts in phone from the music library not where is the music library. There is no bottom option as music library for my phone(Xperia J). I have checked in Xperia go, bottom option as music library is available but not available in my phoneXperia J).
open the phonebook > select a contact > edit > scroll to the bottom > select the ringtone > tap on the top right corner (music note) > select the song. if you don't have that option you might have to download a differen phonebook app or ringtone app

Hi!
My dad had the same problem with his Xperia J. We found a solution for it.
Here it is:
You will need a File Manager for your phone.
Enter it. Select "media"-->"audio"....select the folder in which your music is (Download/Whatsupp...you may have others).
Open the music you want to select in the incorporated music player of your phone.
Near the "Playing" button you will find the "My music" button....select it.
There you select "Tracks"....you have to search for the music you want and push on it for a few seconds....some options will apear on the screen.
At the bottom of the list is the "Set as ringtone" (Finally:D ).
It's a little bit complicated but at least it is working.
Good luck and have a nice day!
