Hello,
I have the Xperia P for almost 20 months now.
Over the past 1 month or so i have been facing serious battery issues.
The battery percentage shows as 68% and then the phone randomly shuts off.
That battery range can be from 45%- 72% as i have noted recently. ( the 68% was an example).
The strange thing is that when the phone is powering off, at the notfication bar it says 0%, and slowly it starts to increase while in the process of poweing off... so when the phone does power off i see the battery perecntage to what it actually was when i am working on the phone.
After this happens i do restart my device and i see a battery drain of about 15-18% genarally, and the phone does work normally again depending in the time remaning on the battery.
I was told about eco mode controller some time back on this forum and i clear it to get the best out of the phone on the stamina mode. But even that does not seem to be working. To get the exact time i have to clear the eco mode data regulalrly , which is a pain.
"OVERALL I WILL SAY THAT ON REGULAR USE MY PHONE ONLY WORKS FOR MAXIMUM 4-4.5 HOURS"
Please advise what may be the issue.
Also let me know if the battery can be changed for the phone from a service center and what maybe the cost for that.
Someone please help...
Repair phone software with sony update service.Eco mode controller does not have a period for clearing data, just when you see that stamina mode shows inaccurate data.
The phone repair did not work.
Also now i have a new problem, the message contacts look jumbled and even when there are no unread messages, it shows as 2 unread.
I have also done a factory reset.
The battery is still very bad, does not last for most than 5 hours.
Please help
Do you think using the phone for some time safe mod will help?
If you use the phone in safe mode,it will only load default apps, you will not be able to use any other. So,if you think it may help you,use safe mode for a couple of days, see if the phone improves.
