Serious battery problem, screenshot attached

yesterday night, the battery level was around 50 I plugged in the charger and switched off my phone (to charge it overnight).

when i tried to turn it on today morning it didn't start. (I also noticed that the notification led was not glowing). I unplugged and plugged in the charger. the led started to glow but the phone started after 3 mins and it had only 1 percent battery.I saw the battery statistics later, it showed a sudden drop to 0 at the time when switched it off.

is it a software bug or has my battery gone bad?

you say that the battery level indicated was wrong?

ok, but why didn't it get charged whole night? why did go to 0 instead of 100?

btw i'm not using any task killers, antivirus, or power saver apps.

I didnt mean that ! Battery Level Indicated is absolutely right and this is a dangerous s/w bug. Voltage drop is accompanied by severe heating that proves battery is really draining !

battery issues are not resolved in the latest update. my battery graph shows sudden ups and downs (without connecting the charger), and the battery drains faster than usual.

but the .162 firmware has many other bugs too...the network drop being the major one......so this was not good on the part of sony service centre.
