Sensitivity of the capacitive button on transparent strip

i hav bought my Xperia P 2 days, i found that everything work great, only the capacitive button on the transparent strip, i found that the back and home button will response with a touch, but the setting button are not that responsive, need to touch harder than those 2 button, but not too hard, it is juz not as sensitive as those 2 buttons, is it normal?

This type of buttons not respond to touch, you have to cover the button properly with your finger/thumb while pressing, just a feather touch will do, but make sure the button gets covered fully.

I experienced this while using Galaxy Note, when the button does not respond, then i figured out, they need to be touched completely not just pointed .

Then i decided to buy Xperia P .

My Xperia P does not have this issue.

What software build number do you have in your phones?

Check this at Settings > About phone > Build number.

my current build number is 6.0.B.1.564. but build number did effect its touch sensitivity?

I'm on the same software in my phone and I don't have this problem.

Make sure you swipe the finger over the sensors rather than tap/press on it.

Yes, you should do that if there's an obvious difference in response between these three. Should be the same. Contact the regional support for instructions on how to.

Could be a good idea to visit your dealer first and ask if you can compare your phone with others to determine whether it really is a defect or not (if you're unsure).
