My Xperia neo v has created my 'self-contact' with a wrong number, any solutions?
Repaired with PC companion, the number is still wrong.
that's odd, I thought the number was copied directly from the SIM card
try this
open the phonebook -> long press on Myself -> Edit contact

An easier way to install the Backup & Restore app
download the apk on your computer, send it to yourself through email, make sure you send it to your Gmail
now on your phone
go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources
wait for the email, once you get the email, open it, and instead of downloading the attachment it will allow you to install it, voila, done

it doesn't work, because there is no option to edit!
backup everything then
1) open the phonebook -> press menu -> delete them all
or
2) settings -> privacy -> settings reset
or
3) if it doesn't do it then factory reset

Don't master reset your phone just yet. No need for that since I don't think it will help.
This is SIM related and if you cannot edit this you should first of all try with a different SIM card, the newer the better. Just put it in your phone and see if you can edit it or not.
