Sealed Boxes

I bought my Xperia Z1 Compact from Amazon.co.uk. The box arrived without any kind of a seal. Is this normal for Sony products or Sony phones bought offline? Amazon cannot answer this question for me.

It appeared to be in very good condition and no evidence of a seal having been peeled off previously.

I bought my phone in the Philippines at a vertified Sony retailer. When I got home, I noticed the box didn't have any seals either. It was also loaded with Kitkat 4.4. I'm in the US now and can't return to the store. I wonder what Xperia Care can do about it?

We cannot guarantee that the box will be sealed in all cases as it may be opened to verify contents, add accessories after shipping, flash newer firmware prior to wholesales distribution etc. However, provided you have purchased the handset from an authorised retailer then there should be no problem.
