SD card "bug" in Kitkat

Hi folks,

I know bug is debatable in case. At least Google debates a lot Winking_Face

I think it is not customer friendly to disallow apps I trust to access my SD card while apps that happen to be pre-installed are allowed.

I had a very short look at FileCommander and besides it has write access to my SD card it is no replacement for the file browser I used to use.

Is Sony going to fix the situation for 4.4 based phones? If not is there a way back to 4.3?
Or is rooting my phone the only thing I can do about it?

That would be forcing unsecure phones in the name of security, wouldn't it?

I really hope there will be an official solution.

Best regards,
Jan

Like everything else in the android environment... you either accept it or root it.

personally, root the **bleep** out of it. only way to convince these things to do what we want is to force them.
