SD Card not reading on Z1

Sine the kit kat update 4 days ago my Z1 will not red the SD card, its is hot while the SD card is in the phone and the battery drains from 100% to dead in under 6 hrs. I have reformatted the SD card and it works fine in other devicesand will open in file commander which is no longer available on my app menu. Was there something in the update that would cause this and if so is there a way to remove the update or fix the problem?

Did you experience this problem with Android 4.3?

I had no problems with the phone reading the card until i did the 4.4 update. It no longer reads any info in the walkman app or the movies app. it will only read the card when I open file commander. would it help to restore the phone to factory settings and reinstall the update?

It's Google related, and NOW Sonys problem, Sony mobile change the ui and make there own drivers, as stated before, if they wanted to fix the problem, they could, it's just one line of code that needs changing

No, they can't never simply change it, and from my point of view, this change really improve the security of android devices. I was annoyed by this change, but if its for the better, why not? I had mine heated up for quite some time after update, even had to remove some files in the micro sd card so that mediaserver service/app was able to index my SD Card faster. The reason that it might heated up is because the mediaserver is unable to read and index the file. So in conclusion, try to delete more files, if the occurence still persist, try google it up, as there are some files that mediaserver unable to effectively read/index those files. Just my 5 cents.

P/S: I had around 30 gig of musics in my microsd card and that was, in my believe was the reason.
