SD Card keeps dismounting itself

My Sandisk SD card keeps mounting and unmounting in my Z1. I tested the SD in other phones and mounted it on my laptop and it worked fine so I think the problem is my phone.
I just did factory reset but the problem is still there. Any ideas what else I can do?

I'd check another card first, maybe the current one is not compatible with the phone. Also, are you sure it's properly inserted in the required slot?

The card is a Sandisk SDHC card and it worked fine in my Xperia Z. The card was working fine in my Xperia Z1 up until yesterday.

If it keeps unmounting and it works perfectly on other devices, maybe it's an issue with the SD card slot of your phone?

Try another SD card in the Z1 and see if it's the card or the phone.

My z1 just started doing this too, it will all of a sudden say the card has been unmounted. At first I thought it was the card, tried to back everything up on the computer and the card basically died. Bought a brand new class 10 Kingston 16 gig card and seemed to take care of it. But it started doing it again. When I turn the phone off abed back on it reads the card again, but it's only a matter of time before it "unmounts" the card. I've tried everything I know how, putting the card in a computer, my wifes Xperia t, my old LG rumor, and old blackberry, the card works in all of them. What's the deal with the Z1?

This is happening to me too since the last update and it's EXTREMELY annoying.

Any word on how to fix this please?

My xperia z1 also does the same. It just reports that the SanDisk SD card has been unmounted for no reason. Usually recognises it after a reboot but this is getting more frequent now and increasingly frustrating. I hope Sony is looking into this widespread problem.
