Hello,
I have a little problem with my SD card and my xperia Z1,
Scenario:
-uploading music to my sd card using by conecting my phone to my windows 7 ultimate x64 via usb cable.
-music sync freezes, not the program, it just wont go progress anymore, for example using windows media player to sync, or simply by copy paste with via the explorer.
-try to open explorer or "Computer" via Windows Start.
-"Computer" or explorer.exe doesn't respond.
-unplug phone, everything back to normal.
until now I haven't loss any data on my sd card, but is a pain in the **bleep** syncing music.. I have more than 15 GB of music that I want on my phone.. If I plug my SD card directly into the card reader on my pc, works flawless, but cant sync with any program my playlists because its just an external memory and not a device..
why my phone is doing this?
im using a class 10 32 gb Monster micro sd card.
thankyou!
If you look around this forum, you will see many cards have compatibility issues with sony devices.Probably you might want to try a low level format of your card. But that only if you can.
well the sd card works perfectly once on the phone, super smooth and fast, only when trying to transfer files from my pc to the phone via usb cable it gets stuck...
What USB output do you have?Try 3.0.
yeah. I have a ASUS crosshair rampage v formula motherboard and im using a 3.0 usb
I have seen you posted in other section where you asked about file transfer limit.Did you transfer more than 2GB at once?
yeah, I was trying to trasnfer all my music at once... so yeah more than 2 gbs... why is that anyway? seems dumb
It is because of the file system in Android(FAT32).FAT32 only lets you transfer 4GB at a time, but I knew that Android had file limit of 2GB.Anyway,try and transfer up to 4 GB at once, not more.See how it goes.
I thought the 4gb restriction of fat32 is by file not by transfer, can't transfer a 4.5 gb file but I can transfer up to 32 GB of files smaller than 4gb,
none of my songs are bigger than 50 mb
You are right,it should do it.It is not like it is a large file like an archive...
