For its first 7 months my Xperia ray has been a phone of wonder, but in the last couple of weeks has randomly started 'shaking' between the 5 screens, and randomly opening shortcuts. Initially I thought I might have leaned on the screen when it was in my pocket (although I was sure it had screen-locked) and it was processing the outstanding signals, but it is now doing it when I haven't touched the screen or had anything else pressing on it. Turning it off and on again helps for a bit, but it starts again after a while. Is this something a software update would resolve (though I'm not having any success with the SUS either ):|), or is the problem something else??
Any help gratefully received!
You can use:
PC Companion (PCC) or Sony Update Service (SUS)
:smileyinfo: before backup
If it does not help visit the service.
I think it's due to the microSD card, please change it & try again. Most probably it happened on class 4 cSD HCs.
Try:
Main Menu > Settings > Storage > Unmount SD Card > Format SD card

you can just try and do a master reset!!
Thank you for your suggestions - I have tried both soft and hard resets, and have seized the opportunity to get a bigger new SD card. I have now done a hard reset and put the new card in, but still have the screen shakes (and occasionally it keeps selecting things on the screen at random which is tricky in Contacts as it will try to ring people :$). PC Companion and SUS both say I have the latest version, but don't offer any repair options or anything similar. Please can anyone suggest anything else?
Thank you!
Yes SUS will notify you that you have the latest version.
You continue and phone software repair.
Have you unlocked your bootloader?
