Screen Problems with Xperia P

My phone keeps blacking out for no apparent reason and all I can do to fix it is taking the SIM card out and putting it back in, which restarts the phone. However, I cannot get the screen back on anymore... please help.

The screen is black but the phone is on. I can't turn it off or check my battery level.

Force shutdown(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates 3 times).
