Heylo ha,
I've recently acquired an Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) with Android 2.3.4 but the screen is permanently in landscape mode. And before anyone says check display settings. Yes it is in auto rotate with full animations on. Tried repair from SE companion, hard and soft reset but to no avail.
When i check services using the *#*#7378423#*#* request, accelerometer appears to work just fine as does the Slide flip Keyboard count. I originally thought it might of been hardware fault. But these tell me otherwise.
Although, admittedly it did switch to portrait view once for a split second whilst sliding the keyboard in half way. I haven't been able to replicate it since.
Any ideas would be of great help.
Fanks.

remove the battery and press and hold the power button for few seconds then leave the phone without a battery for few minutes, then put the battery in and turn it back on, are you using a taskiller, or a launcher?

Unless you've installed some 3rd party app that could be causing this I suggest you contact a service center. Your local support team (and maybe your dealer) can help with this.
your phone's main desktop screen will always remain in potrait view only. only the internal menus will switch to landscape to potrait and vice versa! other than this get it chked in a service station near u.
Sounds like it thinks your keyboard is out... thats the only way to get the home screen to rotate and nothing else seems to be used if your keyboard is out so all the apps show that way too. Even auto rotate doesn't rotate the home screen, just the keyboard.

Yes, sounds like the keyboard all right as home screen shows in landscape mode. Although don't really understand why the phone still acknowledges the slide keyboard count. Anyway we'll see how it responds to a quick flash.
My is auto rotaion also disabled but screen always in landcape mode, plz suggest me,

Sounds to me like the phone thinks the keyboard is out when it's not and therefore shows everything in landscape mode.
