With my Sony Xperia C (C2305) I sometimes see that screen goes blank during call. And even if Power button is pressed it doesn't wake up.
If I make sure there is no dust or blocking near proximity sensor it works ok but I feel its very sensitive. My question is why doesn't power button recover from the black screen issue during call. Currently as a workaround I have used option to disconnect call when power button is pressed in order to get back from blank screen.
For example during phone call if proximity sensor gets blocked (due to finger prints or dirt) then screen goes blank and even if use power button it will not recover sometimes. Please advise.
Do you have any flip case that could interfere with the sensor?
Hi,
No, there is no flip cover which could interfere with the sensor.
As I said sometimes only the issue is seen.
Do you have the option that power button ends call?
Yes, currently as a workaround I am using that option.
But, I don't want to use it as a permanent solution as it seems Xperia C has some issue with proximity sensor.
Ideally when screen goes blank, user presses power button and screen should wake up. Let me once recheck again by changing screen time out period etc..
Have you tried until now a forced shut down?
Hi,
Did you mean "
I tried turning off device and then back on using power button, after which it worked for few hours and now the issue is happening sometimes again.
Yes,that is the forced shut down.I left you a link.
Ok thanks, let me try and will update you by tomorrow.
Sure,good luck.
