Screen goes blank. Can anyone help?

I have sony xperia mini pro Sk17i. I am having ICS. My phone keeps hanging in between- the screen goes blank.

Just to let you guys know, the phone itself is actually still on but the screen is blank and off. It still gives msg alert tones, it still rings when someone calls and it even clicks when the phone is unlocked but I cannot attend to these things as the phone is unresponsive.

My only solution at this point in time is removing the battery and putting it back in to reboot the phone.

This generally happens when my phone is idle for sometime.

I am not a technical person.

Please help.

same problam n my device one day battery s dead .i take service say dont up grade ics n this pone s not suttable &hunup .remove ics install again gingerbread this only solution

I have the same problem, my screen go off but other functions work good. It still ringing and receiving sms but screen its not turning on, only solution is to completely remove battery and start phone all over again. Any solution except reinstall to GB??? And yes i have a ICS on my xperia mini pro sk17i.

No solution. But restarting the phone once a day has helped reduce the frequency of the said problem. I guess it happens when there are multiple applications running from long time. Hope this works for you too.
