Screen freezes randomly

Hi all, I've had this problem where after I pressed the power button (from standby) that the screen would freeze and is unresponsive to any touch input.  Nothing works (including the buttons at the bottom).  Eventually the screen would shut off, which I assume is screen time out, and pressing the power button again will power the screen back on, but with the same frozen screen.

The only way I've found to solve this is to hard power off using the button in the back (with the back cover removed). 

Is anyone else having this issue?  If so, how do you solve it?

Probably third party app/process doesn't work correctly

Make a factory reset

If issue is the same try to repair your firmware using PC companion

if after repearing your phone with either PCC or SUS you might have a faulty device, take it to a Sony repair center

Ok thanks.  I will try it tonight to see.  The problem is is that it happens randomly, so I can go a few days without having an issue, and then maybe I can have a few freezes within an hour.

There's a well known issue with the Xperia SP you might have that problem

I have the same problem of randomly freezing.

I stopped some aps thought were tricky and seems the problem has been resolved.

i will keep you updated.

i have random screen freeze for 2-3 seconds in whole software with android 4.3 too
