Okay, this is gonna sound possibly a little crazy, but I have a few scratches on my screen!
AFAIK, I have only kept my earphones and a pen in my pocket alongside the Xperia Z. But I have found scratches in middle of the phone.
They're definitely there as when you run your fingernail over them you can hear a noise.
So, what is Sony's policy on the guarantee of their Dragontail glass?
(I can try post a video if people wanna see/hear it. I find it hard to believe myself after seeing the vids on youtube)
@Wengus,
Nearly all Xperias come with a Sony factory installed screen protector.
Are the scratches on the screen protector and not the glass?
(To be honest)They dont have any warranty for physical damages made by the customers. As a protective layer for dragontail glass and protect it from shattering when dropped, that protective film is applied. And the screen may have not been damaged for such a small scratches. Infact, Dragontail glasses are 6 times stronger than cornig gorilla glass(I have learnt it by a research in google). If it is scratched a lot and ur screen is looking ugly you can try to remove that screen protector and use some other good protector. But you wont be able to retain the SONY logo :smileyplain:. Finally, as per my knowledge and strong belief, Sony will not take care of that screen anymore.
wengus , as both of the folks above stated,
Xperia phones come with a preinstalled screen protector. You should be a able to notice it at the edges of the screen and ear-speaker.
This sheet is not scratch resistant.
You can apply a scratch resistant screen protector on it
