Hi guys,
I have just recently started reciving a strange notice (4 times now), while using Google search, I get a message saying my phone has been corrupted with 4 viruses. It mentions my phone by type (ie Xperia M2) and it is already 28% damaged. Then it says that I must not back out, but proceed by pressing OK, if i do it jumps to google play, and seem to want me to download some strange app!!!
First of all, I check my AVG anti virus & CM Security - no problems
So, has anyone else experanced this, and what can I do to stop it??
If you have cleared the data, then the issue is more likely a third party application in this case. Safemode will let you know.
Bad news,
Today it happend again, this time I was in Safe Mode!! Once again I was using Google Search. It again came up with a page from "feydtphuvw.pw" saying my phone was at risk if I did not download some app.
As this only seems to happen using Google, perhaps I should uninstall/reinstall this? What do you think??
Hi bt4gee,
You could definitely give that a go, however this spam message be related to the type of website you maybe visiting, some websites seem fine and not malicious, however they can still have ad based spams which cause the issue you have.
if you dont mind me asking, what type of website are you visiting when it occurs?

Hi Jake,
Well, nothing doddgy, mostly lookong for crossword clues. Sites like "the-crossword-solver.com", "crosswordsolver.org", "wordplays.com" etc
Think It could be one of them?
How do they know the Make & Model of my phone?
Why has this only started to happen? (Never before 2 months ago)!
It is very annoying...
