Hi
As recommended I've installed Sony's 'Update Service' for windows software and connected the SBH52 using the correct procedure (such as holding the back key whilest connecting the USB cable etc). A message advised of new software available and recommended installation. Then after downloading and installing (according to splash screen messages) I was finally advised that the update has been successfully installed.
However, since then the SBH52 is completely frozen showing on the display continuously 3 icons a 'microSBcard', and an arrow pointing to an 'SBH52' icon. I've repeated the installation procedure many times with no success. Pressing any key in any combination shows no results such as a re-set / re-boot. The SH52 appears to be permanantly in an 'installation mode'. Those 3 icons are on permanently (or until the unit runs out of power).
Contacted Sony support 3 days ago. No reply so far. Any suggestions how to resolve this would be appreciated.
Hi menaibangor,
I had the same problem today.
Did you find any solution?
I have the same problem. Have you found any solution?
Sounds like the update have failed somehow. Try holding on/off for 10 seconds and see if it turns off and then try turning it on again.
If that doesn't help, try connecting it back to Update Service again on another computer and see if it's unable to reinstall the firmware again.
If that doesn't help i recommend that you contact a service location or local Sony Xperia support (http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/).
Thank you very much Rickard. I tried to run Update Service in another computer and it worked well.
