SBH50 Headset with Skype problem

Hi there

I have a Xperia S and a Nexus 7. Ive successfully connected my sbh50 to both devices however when trying to use it with skype it doesnt work. On the nexus 7 I am using a jabra easygo headset which uses phone audio and works fine. However with the sbh50 I can.only connect to media audio on the nexus 7. Any ideas of how to make it work?

In the SBH50 you can select which device that should be used as primary device and for calls. See this link for how to set your Nexus 7 as primary device:

I have tried that already

That's strange. What happens if you reset the headset and only pair it with your Nexus 7?

It does the same thing my friend

I just tried resetting the headset with Sony update service on my laptop and paired it to my nexus 7. For some reason it gets picked up as headphones rather than a headset.

So under Settings -> Bluetooth -> SBH50 you don't see "Phone audio" as an option?

I recommend that you try your MW1 with other devices in that case to see if this is a problem with the SBH50 or not. SBH50 supports Handsfree Profile v1.6 so as long as your tablet supports this it should work.

I dont have a MW1. I have a jabra easy go headset which works fine. How can I find out if my tablet supports handsfree profile v1.6?

Sorry about the typo, mean SBH50 of course.

I'm unable to see any information about this on http://www.google.com/nexus/7/specs/. I suggest that you contact the support for the tablet to check if it supports devices using Handsfree profile v1.6.
