Same problems in every software

Same problems in every software

1. I have noticed many complaints that the volume on the front facing speakers is just too low.
Well I've noticed the same issue since the Z2, the Z3, Z3+ and now this, that the bottom speaker, if you cover the top, hardly produces sound!
I hope Sony finally fixes this problem.after so many years of this issue now!

2. Display contrast enhancement and no chance to fully use 4K.
After measurements it is clear that the Z5, especially the Z5 premium could be a lot brighter from its display, if the contrast enhancement would be calibrated correctly. Due to rough calibration, the display loses over 100 nits and more, just because of none perfected calibration. For a top of the line device, calling itself premium, this is a no go!
Also, there is no chance in actually selecting the display to operate in 4K.
People are being forced to render and see everything in 1080p.
This is no premium offer for a smartphone with an attached name such as "PREMIUM"!
For a premium device, you should expect premium offers, such as more software tweaks, a special experience, convincing you that THIS IS a premium device.

3. Camera post processing.
Most of the time, in PERFECT LIGHT CONDITIONS, the camera works really well.
But how often do you have perfect conditions!?
As soon as you have low light conditions, or light coming from an angle, or even in "normal environment" conditions, post processing really messes up the pics taken, taking away an awful a lot of detail from the picture.
If you compare pictures to almost all competitors, you'll find that sony's post processing really kills a fabulous picture, which is a shame really, because Sony really does have an excellent sensor and a real nice lens with the best processing hardware.

So far, all aspects referring to the Z5 line show that there is still a lot to be done concerning software.
The premium should especially be looked at, there is much space for improvements, especially for a premium line and considering the price, until now, it's only a standard Z5 with an overblown display that doesn't even render in 4K 7needs you have a 4K movie and watch it on sony's video app.
Upscaling hardly counts, there should be an option for consumers to choose whether they would like to have everything displayed in 1080p, QHD OR 4K.

Overall, it's not a bad line but the premium is missing everything making it worth its name.

This is just an opinion of over a certain amount of users asked and own experiences on the Z5 line.

Also, which I have promised to mention, is the late software update schedule.
As sony's ui and software tweaks are so close to stock Android, it is really unclear to so many, why updates get pushed so late, where as nothing special is happening to it.
This seems to anger many Sony consumers, always being last or almost last on every android release version.

It is not hard to tell, that Sony does have potential but are always 1 step behind everyone else.
So far, there has always been 1 major drop after a wow effect.
Looking back at the Z3 and then the Z3+. Or the Z5 premium and no the X line.
I have been a major fan of Sony all these years, but after all these years, you learn to wait before you buy, too many issues, hardware or software related during the last 2 years.

I really love the Z5 Premium but there still has to be tweaked on in terms of software to actually make it a premium phone.

And please Sony, after so many years, beginning with the Z2, please finally fix the front facing speaker loudness issue and stop this extremely post processing of pictures taken.
Thanks!

Man, I totally believe you as I had the same feeling towards Sony, but the conclusion and what I really believe is that Sony doesn't care about their customers, they don't care about their reputation, and they are losing the market they once owned, they've got some geniuses in the hardware department, meeting with some lazy idiots from the software department, and together they build this semi mobile device we own which called Xperia Z5

my advice is, don't wait for them to even acknowledge their mistakes as they won't, directly switch to any other brand and u'll be shocked, it'll be clearly visible how we got fooled buying Sony smart phones.

and my final words, here in this community, they'll do their best to waste your time, they won't communicate anything to Sony SW department, even if they mistakenly did, Sony team won't even care.

I believe they need to hire even a 1 employee in the testing and quality assurance

Well you can't just drop a phone like this, so what's left is, waiting for warranty to expire, root and flash all that really makes this phone worth its while!
It's not all bad what Sony is doing, but they really are missing out in the important parts. Why? Who knows!?
What the expect? It seems they are trying to destroy themselves.
It's all just wrong management and false planing.
Change the management and put some experts in there, you'll have a top of the line device you'd never want to give out of your hands!

After a month of usage now, I've noticed that:
1. Fingerprint sensor hardly recognizes your prints. Although I've got 5 savings of every possible angle and part of the finger(s)

2. Display drains battery since latest update.

3. WiFi keeps dropping

4. Bottom speaker now hardly gives any sound.

5. Device heats up extremely when in use and charging at the same time.

So there are many many issues on this device. Most seem to be software issues.
Why are there so many software problems going on on this device?
