safe mode turn off help

I have a Sony Xperia M. For some reason it got put into safe mode. I've tried switching it off and on again and holding in the volume up key like it suggests on the internet. I've tried removing the battery and the SIM card and restarting the phone. Still can't get it out of safe mode. For some reason the volume down button doesn't seem to work when the phone is actually on and in safe mode. Not sure if this has to do with anything. Surely there must be another way of getting the phone out of safe mode?

If your volume down button is stuck then switching on and then holding volume down would enter your device into safe mode so I'm sorry to hear this but you would need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Mr  @Thommo is correct.

Your phone is broken, damaged and/or reached the end of it's life.

Your phone will most likely never come out of safe mode ever again.

This is the end.

There is no amount of button pressing or shouting, pleading, begging that can help it now.

Your phone is now broken.

You have to read Mr Thommo's post and either return it to the seller or have it serviced by a Sony service centre.

HOWEVER, you could repair it yourself if you have NO OTHER option.

Normal disclaimers apply, if you don't know what you're doing you will destroy your phone.
Your warranty (if you still have one) will be terminated.
No one will touch your phone under warranty ever again!!!!

You need to purchase the Sony C1905 "side button flex cable" or "Link FPC" (as repair guides name it) for approx USD8.00

This cable connects the main board with the antenna board. It also includes all the buttons for the 'top' side of the phone.
To replace the cable means most of the circuit boards on the phone have to be removed to install it.

To replace the cable takes about 15-30mins depending on your abilities.

Make sure you are using an anti-static strap or anti-static gloves.

I have successfully replaced the side button flex cable and this solved(in my case) the problem of the phone always going into safe mode.

Good luck. :smileysmileywink:
