Rubber Seal Broken

Hi, My Self Sumit Tyagi From India.

from last 3 years i'm using xperia lineup. first one was Ray now i'm using Xperia Z. But I got a problem. That my charging slot rubber seal is broken and strip turned Red. But my phone is in excellent condition. i'm happy to see this. so i goto the service centre to replace that cover/seal rubber and they are saying they don't provide that seal. please please i want to get change that for happy future using/waterproofing.

please suggest me some help.

Hi all, got a similar issue here.

After getting a replacement Xperia z in February 2014 after the first had camera lense issues then came back repaired with the entire edge trim missing, I have only really has a few months use out of this phone.

The issue I have is; The rubber seal has split and is coming off the cover if the charging port, fortunately the paper is still white but with it being so close to the surface of the phone, I don't know for how long it'll stay like this. I assume sony repair these items under the warranty as it's a manufacturer defect within the rubber/glue composition.

The fact they have also put the water damage paper under these 'waterproof' covers means they should stay water resistant within reason for the whole two year warranty period otherwise the warranty is voided when subject to water damage.

How do I go about getting this fixed?

I also had a same problem, I want to continue the xperiaZ due to its performanace, but because of O ring issue in sealing plugs.

I expect somthing has to do from sony, we spend almost 36,000 rs to buy this phone.

And charges to replace one cover is almost 1500 rs, too costly.

During my friend circle after seeing the condition of my phone, they drop the idea to purchase sony.
