Rooting

I have the notification to upgrade from 4.2 to 4.3 on my Xperia Z, but as yet cannot find a way to root it without unlocking the bootloader so will stay with 4.2 for now as a rooted phone gives so many useful options.

As rooting is so widespread now I cannot understand why the manufacturers are being so pedantic and not making it as standard.

I did state that I DID NOT want to unlock the bootloader, if you don't read the post please don't bother to answer.

The reason rooting is not standard on phones is because it opens your phone up to an attack as your firmware is then able to be altered - Also if the novice has a rooted phone and then installs an app like Root explorer or Busybox to name a few and deletes or alters files not knowing what they are doing then it could render the phone useless until a firmware repair has taken place or worst case scenario a hard brick
