I noticed that my Xperia U FM radio sound stereo in reverse or "mirror" (in the left channel plays the sound of the right and vice versa). At the same player in the service menu audiotest give a correct stereo sound. Verifies sounding radio with stereo receiver and the other phone models, and sound an modulation from an external FM transmitter, changing the sound balance. Tested on the built-in FM radio application. ROMs also tried to change. Someone else noticed this feature? And who can know, in any system files to find a solution or a hardware marriage?
Maybe reason in kernel\include\linux\mfd\cg2900_audio.h ?
enum cg2900_dai_channel_sel {
CHANNEL_SELECTION_RIGHT = 0x00,
CHANNEL_SELECTION_LEFT = 0x01,
CHANNEL_SELECTION_BOTH = 0x02
};Usually left channel is first (0x00).
If this works fine in or from the service menu then this isn't a kernel issue but an app issue
In Service tests - Stereo speaker: correctly stereo sound.
In Service tests - FM Radio: reverse stereo sound.
As above this is an app issue which you need or should report as feedback to Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
