Replacement screen - estimated cost

Has anyone here sent their (Xperia S) phone to have the screen replaced if cracked? Support have told me they can't estimate cost until I send it away, but then if I want it back without repair it will cost me £10! I need the full screen replaced as it is cracked right across, so thought it would be simple enough to give an estimate without looking at the phone. Also any experience of how long it would take?

You are looking at over £100 just for the screen if you was to do it yourself mate so via Sony it is going to be silly money.
