My phone cracked - on its own in my pocket so sent it to Sony on 2/2. Got a quote a week or so later got a quote for a cracked screen at £95 + handling and shipping making it £132. Apparently my warrenty of a 5 day old phone that breaks itself doesn't get covered. I questioned this to no avail.
Was angry, it broke itself, had it out with Sony over the next month and a half and they relucantly agreed to send it back free. 'Thanks'.
Got my phone back and decided I wanted it fixed so sent it back to Sony, took a while but they got it and another week passes by and get another quote - for the same phone, this time at £125 for a full repair + handling and shipping making it £165.
£165 for the same phone!
Also, sent a letter along with my phone explaining the sitatuon and how much of a joke it is that they have had my phone for 3 months and its yet to be repaired (i know some of this was my own choice).
I wouldn't mind paying the original £95 but to pay for handling and shipping after all this isn't happening. Its made me even madder now that the cost had gone up and apparently there is a bend in the metal and now they are tring to charge £165! what a joke. I'll happily pay £95 for the full refurb.
The Sony customer service and repair centre is a joke.

I'm sorry to hear that.
But I can see that you have been in contact with your local support team and that they have arranged that a manager will call you as soon as they are available. I can unfortunately not give you any support in this case since repair process is handled at local level. My best advice is that you wait for the manager to call you and hopefully, this can be sorted out.
Yea I just had a call, he kept saying he was aware of the problem, kept apologising but then telling me that the price would remain and that there was nothign Sony were willing to do about...
1. The 3 months they've had my phone
2. The missed damage on the first repair inspection
3. The increase in quote from the first repair quote
They were not willing to offer me any sorry in terms of reduction in price also.
What a joke.
As far as I can see, the quotation of your service came pretty fast, so why the service time were longer than normal is because you did not respond to it. And why the quote has increased was due to physically damage, bent in the casing next to the volume keys.
