I have at least three components that I had to manually teach the remote app because they are not in the Sony database. That is not a big deal in itself except the Touchsquid app sees those learned codes as "Custom 1, Custom 2, and so on for those devices instead of the name I labeled them in the Sony remote app.
I was really hoping to replace my Marantz RC9200 remote with this tablet, but the Sony remote app is far too limited to do that. I hope Sony has plans on developing this app further providing more customization, flexibility and expanding the database of devices, otherwise give developers direct hardware acces to the IR emitter/receiver so we can use better remote apps please.
