Refreshing very slow

Hi,

I have been facing few problems with my Xperia S lately.

I had the heat problem and Nabeel informed below 50 degrees C is fine so I am OK with it.

Now, from past few days, when I press on Phone icon in the home screen it takes 5-6 seconds to display the phone menu screen and when I return back to home screen, the icons are not displayed immediately.

They are popping up (displaying) after 2-3 seconds.

I have tried resetting to Factory defaults and it worked fine for 1 day and again I am facing the same problem.

I went to the SE customer care center and dropped in my phone and got it back after 2 days.

When I received the phone it was pretty fast and I was very happy and it didnt last for more than a day.

I am attaching a screenshot for a reference.

Now I am facing the same problem and I dont understand what to do.

If anyone faced the same problem and has a solution it would be great.

Thanks

Sandy

Sorry to hear this.

I would like you to try something. Go to Settings > Apps > Manage apps > Xperia Home > Clear data.

This will reset the home screen meaning all widgets, shortcuts etc. will be restored to default.

When you've done this, do not re-add any widgets for a few days and see if there's any improvement.

Let me know.

Hi Markus,

I have actually browsed through other forms and I found a solution for this problem.

If we are facing this problem, then we have to switch off the mobile and on it back after 10 mins.

It works like a charm but I dont know if we have to keep doing this frequently or not.

Coming to your solution if we clear all the widgets its of no use using Android phone.

I will remember your solution and will try it if I face the same problem again.

I wasn't really suggesting it as a solution but rather a way to determine if all the stuff on the home screen are causing this or not.

If you've found a different way of solving it there's no need to try what I posted though. Slightly_smiling_Face
