Recovering phone with unresponsive screen

My apologies if this is mis-categorized, but I have an XPeria UL that somehow got a hairline stress fracture across the screen and the screen is completely non-responsive. Is there any way to backup the phone in this condition? I have a PW set on the phone so I can't connect it to the Sony PC Companion suite.

You could try to boot the phone in safe mode and try then.

To boot in safe mode, turn off the phone.Turn it on and when the xperia screen appears, keep pressing vol down.

I do not think you will be able to do anything,I recommend taking the phone to a service.

I took the phone in and they said there was nothing they could do. They said I could have the phone serviced by the manufacturer but it would take 2 weeks to get back. I'm living in Japan and just here a month ago and not having a working mobile device for 2 weeks is a no-go. I guess I'll look for apps that let you send remote unlock commands in the absurd unlikelyhood that this happens again. I am a little dissapointed that one very fine crack (hard to even see) caused the whole device to be bricked. Didn't even drop the thing, this happened in my pocket somehow.

I am sorry to hear that.I heard there were services which gave you a spare phone while yours was there.
