receiving duplicate emails from past

I have 3 email accounts setup on my Xperia j.

the annoying thing is that I have started to receive emails that I have previously deleted...not only from the device but also from my email aaccount.

any ideas to stop the duplicates?

I would have a chat with your email service provider as the only way your handset can bring down a copy to the phone is if there is still a copy on the server.

I too have this - have checked Outlook.com (Hotmail) accounts (Multiple @live.ca/hotmail.com). Every few days the last 4-5 oldest emails just reappear as "unread". I have checked the online settings, nothing there to cause this and do not receive the same emails in my Desktop computer Outlook as unread. Strange that the otherwise stellar Sony mail app does this.
