Reboot in ICS

Hi

I updated my phone to ICS soon after the global rollout. I had the usual problems of application lag and apps required to force close. But recently while just using the browser (which is good but itz real slow) my phone just rebooted. I have not used the repair software option in PC companion as of yet. Any suggestions?

Hi, suggest you proceed with Software Repair, just be aware that this will erase phone data completely.

gwhispererz thank you for your reply. I went a little further ahead and kind of factory resetted my phone.

I dialled *#*#7378423#*#* ---> Customisation settings ---> reset customisation.

This worked something similar to a phone factory reset i guess (All the data from the phone was removed). The phone started afresh with ICS and I had to install all the apps i previously had (this kind of freed space and removed unwanted apps). The Phone is working faster than before except for a few lags now and then.

I was quite disappointed with Sony removing some of the widgets available in GB. And also some apps are 'now' not compatible with android 4.0.3 (They worked before I had done the reset).

All in all, the phone is in good shape and real smooth (compared with earlier Ray).

Cheers!

I guess you win some, you lose some ....

Hopefully those incompatible apps will be compatible soon (app update from Developers).

About a month after updating to ICS, i have a reboot issue with my unit.  Please feel free to add any comment on the thread below for any issues that have reboot problem. I've posted my general obesrvations on the reboot problem.

Mine was not fixed with software repair or complete reinstall.  Please feel free to comment on my post in here =>http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/271191#271191

Any other users who have the same reboot problem kindly add up to the thread so that we can all help verify is this is limited to a certain batch of phone or a hardward issue.

Thanks
