Hi,
I bought a R800i sometime back and am running a custom kernel and ROM (ICS) on it at the moment. My touchscreen was performing well the past week but now it's intermittent. I've opened up the phone to check the connector (it's out of warranty anyway) and nothing seems out of the ordinary. I have another R800x mainboard with me so I decided to plug that in to determine if my digitizer is faulty. To my surprise, the digitizer works without any problems. This obviously leads to the conclusion that my R800i mainboard is faulty or the firmware itself is faulty. I flashed the stock firmware and kernel (0.58) but that didn't help either. What is wrong with my mainboard? Is there any way of rectifying it? Do baseband versions (-36, -64, etc) play a part in firmware settings? Mine is -64.
Thanks in advance for suggestions!
Regards.
