I have a Sony Xperia Z3+ and sadly, this morning I knocked the phone off the duvet on my bed and it landed face down on the floor. It was short fall distance and fell flat on the face rather than impact on the corner, so I thought it would be okay, but I've now got a cracked screen and obviously a damaged touchscreen digitizer.
One half of the touchscreen still works but I can't unlock my phone or answer calls so it looks like a trip to the repair shop.
My hesitance from just sending it off to Sony is the trouble the repair centre can cause, or has caused for me in the past. If they declare that they can't fix it, or I can't afford whatever price they so wish to charge me, I will have to pay just to get the phone back to me safely or they will keep it, which I think is just utterly ridiculous.
Long story short, I'm looking for a quote for cracked screen/touchscreen digitizer. I rang Sony this morning but they couldn't give me a quote over the phone.
If someone, anyone, even if it was a Z3 or a similar Xperia phone, has sent their phone away to Sony for repair for a cracked screen/touchscreen digitizer replacement, let me know what kind of price you paid so I can get a rough idea of what I'll be charged before I make a huge mistake and try and get this fixed at a cheap repair shop!
