Questions about WT19I

Hi all, this is Pierre from Belgium, sorry for my basic English.

I've just bought a SE live with Walkman (my first smartphone), so I'm a newbie about Androïd.

First surprise, there is no voice recorder. I've seen there are free applications but why isn't it a simple native program for this task ?

Second surprise : no text editor. My old Nokia from 2007 had a "notes" application where I could tap some information. Again, I know there are some free applications but isn't a text editor a basic application ?

Now my problem : according to the SE guide I've downloaded, I can d/l applications thru Androïd Market. I have a gmail account which is activated since years and I have checked my mails with my phone.

For whatever reason, I don't have a " Market " icon in the menu. In my userguide, there is a warning "market is not available in all countries or regions". But Belgium is in Europe, am I missing something ?

So how do I manage d/l applications ?

BTW, can somebody tell me which processor (ARM, intel ?) is in my phone ?

Cheers

Pierre

I don't have a data plan and never have done, but I have access to the Market / Google Play. I have an Arc.

I use Mobo video. I don't know which CODECS it supports, but certainly rather more than the stock video player.

Not applicable

Download MX Player (FREE) from google play store...drag and drop your video file onto your phone and play it on MX Player....This player plays a wide varity of formates like .avi .mp4 etc...Enjoy!!!

Hi all, I have questions about the SD card. There was a 2 Giga SD card installed when I bought the phone. For whatever reason, there is 1GB left but if I check the real content of the card with "show hidden and system files", there is only 400 MB used (some Androïd folders but also for preinstalled applications). 500 MB are lost !

BTW, where are the Androïd programs installed ? In the fixed memory of the phone ?

Other question : how do I eject the phone when I'm connected with the micro-USB cable ? I use Win7 and there is no "eject" item in the context menu in Explorer and the icon (in the taskbar) to eject removable drives does not show the SD card. Actually, I have an eject option in "MediaGo", a software installed at the same time than "Sony PC companion" but I don't want to keep this program which is of no use for me. Any clue ?

I have a solution to safely unplug the phone from the computer, here it is

Goto, Settings -> Storage Settings -> Unmount SD card

BTW, MX player is a perfect player for all videos. Winking_Face
