Question about xperia tx display

Hi Guys, i want to know that is the Sony Xperia TX display scratch resistant or not? If it's scratch resistant then why sony put a screen protector on it by deafult? Can i use this phone without this screen protector? Will it get scratched by dust or sand? With the screen protector my finger stucks while touching the display it's very annoying. Please give an answer ASAP.

Does anybody know the answer? Why sony not responding on this question? Does Sony knows this answer?

The glass is scratch resistant, however it has an anti shatter film over the top of this which is not scratch resistant but is there to prevent personal injury should the handset break and provides extra protection/durability to the screen.

Thanks for the support. I knew about the shatterproof flim protector but confused about the display. Anyway thanks again and i want to say something that, Why sony put a shatterproof film on top of the display? where the corning gorilla glass is scratchproo and shatterproof without any extra shatterproof flim. So why don't sony uses the Corning Gorilla Glass?

The purpose of the anti-shatter film (ASF) is to make the display withstand being dropped from greater heights.
The anti-shatter film has a positive effect on the sensitivity and accuracy of the touch screen.
In the unlikely event of the glass cracking, the ASF can protect against cuts.
