Question about updating Z5C firmware thru PC companion

So I'm about to purchase the international unlocked version of the Z5C but the carriers in my country dont carry this phone.

I've installed the PC companion and i've chosen a country that i know carries Z5C (UK) so the phone will appear in the list of available devices (when i chose my country the Z5C did not appear).

In short my question is can I still update my phone thru the PC companion (or any other way) without flashing it or doing something else I wouldn't want to do or is updating the firmware limited to countries with carriers that carry the Z5C.

Yes you can, software will detect your phones model, firmware and customization version and will compare to the server. If there's an updated version you'll get.

Yes, you will still be able to use PC Companion to update your phones firmware. Note that, updates for the phone will in this case depend on the country where it's purchased from/customized to. For example, if you purchase a phone that is customized to Sweden, updates for your phone will then depend on that market.
