Queries About Xperia P

hi There,

I just bought Xperia P (india)  yesterday.

I have few queries regarding the phone

1. Sim card door is not properly closing. Upper portion(which swings) still peeps out of corner. But sim card is detected & works well..Is this usual(peeping out of door) .??

2. When i go to settings--About phone--status--battery status. its not showing me the detailed usage.. I saw people showing detailed usage of battery in some posts. when i try to do the its not showing anything.. just click sound but it does not goes inside..

I am using android for the  first time .. So please help.

Just to add to above post- Retail shop updated andriod 4.0 & provided me the handset..

PCC = PC Companion, you should post pictures of the SIM card tray

I tried using PCC . It installed on pc. i have to manually install it by using windows exploere. but the problem is it not going to next stage. Once I plug in Micro usb to phone  i have kept Vol down key for several mins but its not going to next scrren. Am i doing anything wrong here ?? normally how much time it takes for PCC to reatore the phone.

do i need to dwitch on my phone after inserting micro usb to phone

is there any guide as how to use PC Companion for restore of a phone ..?? Tried many times but still the same result.... Not progressing to next screen.

I tried using SUS s/w also but there also same problem... It is stuck at the screen where it says press & hold vol down key while u connect the phone to USB.

Prior to using both steps I have did Factory reset & settings reset from Phone

I feel am doing something wrong here.. please help. I am totaly new to Smartphones/android. This is my first smartphone. previously used the basic mobbile from nokia used only for call/sms..

why aren't you using SUS instead of PCC, also make sure that you press and hold the volume down button BEFORE you connect the usb cable.

turn off your firewall and antivirus on your PC as this might be blocking this program

Thanks using SUS worked. Currently its downloading update for my phone. Many thanks again.

SUS it's a lot easier to use than PCC also don't forget to check the alternatives to backup your phone and other great apps
