QR Pal

Hi there,

I am not having much success in getting QR Pal to work on my X8.  The camera doesn't seem to provide a sharp enough picture on barcodes or QR codes.  May I ask the X8 experts how can I get this application working properly?

that's odd, w/ me even if its blurry it recognize the QR code

Thanks for answering. I have been using Mobile Tag which works OK for QR codes but not for Bar Codes.  I do have a data plan! 

I think the problem is QR Pal has a larger scanning window to fit the code into and as the phone doesn't zoom causes the image to go out of focus. 

I will try the other applications but hopefully Sony will advise me how to get QR Pal working too. 

This phone keeps running out of internal memory for applications so could do with the one application for everything.

Neoreader it's pre-installed in your phone or at least on all the Xperias I have and different software I'd tried it is pre-installed

I will try Neoreader.  It is not preinstalled on my X8 (maybe O2 customised the applications installed) but it should work well if some come preinstalled.  Shame that QR Pal won't play - it looked like it had some nice features.

neoreader even google goggles are great apps, the later it does more than neoreader or qr pal

Thanks.  Google Googles is great - although it is much bigger in size than neoreader and I am fast running out of space.

It reads QR codes beautifully but still can't manage Bar Codes.

What does this mean? Do you mean it can read QR Code but not available for recognizing barcodes of other types, like Data Matrix and Code 128?
