Is Sony going to provide an update to add this feature?
it doesn't seems like Sony will, this was available back in the days but its no longer supported, you have an alternative which is to root your tablet and then install apps such as app2sd
Well I am not going to root my tablet, but it may be a deal breaker for me. Samsung just added the feature to the Galaxy S3 and S4. Sony should be able to do it also. When the the Sony loaded all the crap ware and the OS we are only left with about 9 gigs of space for the 16 gig model. I added a 64 gig SD card to add storage. This seams like a problem for all users and they should be demanding the Apps to SD just like what we did with Samsung. Thanks for the response though.
+1 this request.
I've just purchased an XTZ and assumed this would be available going for a 16gb model thinking that I could push apps to the microSD storage if space got tight.
This is the case on my stock HTC Sensation phone.. Come on Sony.. Bake this into your next update please.. Why not?
Do you really need this feature ?
It was created back in the day when the amount of builtin storage was very small and devices were indeed getting to it's limit.
But nowadays 16Gb/32Gb is plenty of builtin space. Plus you have a microsd slot where you can put up to 64Gb ...
On the other hand, if you look in Settings/Storage there is a Miscellaneous/Transfer data to SD card, that may be along the lines of what you're asking for.
Yes we still need this. it is about having options as to where you what things stored. the dat transfer is not the same. Besides this tablet is PS certified and alot of those games are 500mg and up. I purchase one the other day and it was 1.2 gigs plus addtion storage for installation. We need an App to SD for this very reason. If sony wants us to purchase games from the playstaion store they are going to have to fix this.
This feature is REALLY missing!
This has been reported many times, maybe sony will give it a try it the next updates that are to come.
