Proxy setting

Hi,

     I am not able to set proxy in my XPERIA U which is running on Android 2.3.7 . I wanted to acccess my office network through wi-fi.

Please anyone let me know if there any way to do it?

There is no proxy option in Xperias,

You will have to search for an app in google play

But that app may need root access

Wat is the side effects of accessing root?

By rooting ur phone warranty will be lost.  . But by rooting u will get lots of advantages though.  .

There is no option for Proxy in ICS as well

Rooting may void your warranty

Root is just access to core files of system

Rooting is a procedure which grants you the administrator / superuser permissions so that you can modify files in your android system

There are no side effects but one may brick his/her device if messes up with system files
