Proximity sensor not working.

Proximity sensor for x10 mini pro is not working on call. Checked on Secret Menu service test. It says that proximity swith is OFF.

Please help. Thanks

repair it with Update Service, and see if that solves the issue. also do you have a protective film or protective case

How to install it

You need to

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

download IO File Manager

download the backup & restore app, transfer it to your SD card, use OI file manager to find it -> tap on it -> install it

Contacts

just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already

open your phonebook

press MENU button -> tap on Send Contacts -> select all -> send it to your email

on your computer

-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import

Apps

Don't worry so much about backing up your apps

on your computer go to

market.android.com -> log in -> click on My Library -> and send all your apps to your phone

SMS/MMS

if you don't want to use the backup & restore app then

Install "backup SMS" to back up your SMS and MMS to your Gmail

An easier way to install the Backup & Restore app

download the apk on your computer, send it to yourself through email, make sure you send it to your Gmail

now on your phone

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

wait for the email, once  you get the email, open it, and instead of downloading the attachment it will allow you to install it, voila, done

Hi,

sorry for the delayed response. i tried repairing the phone using SE update service by reinstalling the software. the update service screen showed that it was successfully repaired. but my phone doesnt turn on. when i press the on button, it just vibrates then shows black screen. no SE logo then it turns off. i tried repairing it again and the result is the same.

and now, even if i dont press the on button. it turns on automatically, then off again. on off, on off with black screen.

any other suggestions? thanks for the help

remove the battery, press and hold the power button for few seconds, put it back on, try to turn it on and also try w/o the SD and SIM cards

same results. the screen just displays black screen then it turns off.

is it possible that this is a hardware issue? before i repaired the phone. the speaker and led light also did not work already. i needed to set  it on loud speaker or put an earphone before i hear anything. also, there are times that the screen becomes deformed when im opening the slide querty.
