Problems with xperia sp , doesn't take 4gLTE

Hi , i jus bought my xperia sp c5306 is a factory unlocked phone and is supposse to work on 4gLTE but i'm having a really hard time because is unable to get the 4g speed , it only gets EDGE ( i know the really old internet) so if somebody know how to fix this please help ...ps : i already tried the pc companian in order to get a software uptade but it's seems that there are not updates for this phone right now .......the carriers i tried ( T-mobile and Metropcs)

Thanks for answer , well thats the point , my carrier works on those bands ( 1700, 1900, 2100) but for some reason  the phone only taks Edge internet , I live in USA , and the phone is factory unlocked ......but have no idea how to make it take 4g

By the way mine is the c5306
