problems with update and boot loader

Hi everybody,

I received 3 days ago my new Z3 Compact. I made the complete setup and now my PC Companion tells me, that a new update ist avaiable. The update prcoess failed each time. After short search in several forums I read about the bootloader. I checked in the service menu and my bootloader is unlocked. But I didn't unlock this phone. So I received a new phone without boot loader locked. So here my questions:

- is their any way to get the settings back (I don't think so)

- how do I now get updates on my phone? What do I have for possibilities when Sony Update Center failes all the time?

If you bought your phone new in this condition then take it back as you will be able to prove it wasn't you as a code request form will have been filed along with an email and if this was before you bought it then you should be entitled to a replacement, However to lock the bootloader use Flashtool and once installed select BLU and follow the instructions but beware that as the BL is unlocked your DRM keys will be lost thus certain features will no longer work regardless of whether or not you relock the bootloader
